My name is Patty Barajas I am the Supervisor here at West Advisory Christian Counseling Center. I have been working at this center for over 18 years; Throughout this time I have managed to build a strong relationship with the community, courts, probation department, DCFS and the California Victim Compensation Program. In addition to my role as supervisor at the center, I am also the Immigration evaluation consultant. I have been helping our clients submit psychological reports to aid their immigration process for the last 10 years.

My name is Evelyn Benitez, LMFT. I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, fluent in both English and Spanish. I received my bachelors degree in Psychology from La Sierra University and my masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University. I have worked with individuals, ages 2 and up, couples, and families. I am a certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider and have worked with both the perpetrator of abuse and the victims. I have also worked with people who experienced; domestic violence, substance abuse, chronic illnesses, PTSD, depression, anxiety and other mental health diagnoses. Soy una terapeuta matrimonial y familiar bilingüe con licencia, con fluidez en inglés y español. Recibí mi bachillerato en Psicología de la Universidad La Sierra y mi maestría en Terapia Matrimonial y Familiar de la Universidad de Loma Linda. He trabajado con individuos, de 2 años en adelante, parejas y familias. Soy una proveedora certificada de tratamiento para ofensores sexuales y he trabajado tanto con el autor del abuso como con las víctimas. También he trabajado con personas que experimentaron; violencia doméstica, abuso de sustancias, enfermedades crónicas, trastorno de estrés postraumático, depresión, ansiedad y otros diagnósticos de salud mental.

Gloria Nunez

My name is Gloria Nunez, LMFT. I am a bilingual licensed therapist. I am a graduate of Cal State Long Beach, where I majored in Liberal Arts with a minor in Psychology. I completed my graduate degree at Cal State Dominguez Hills of Marriage and Family Therapy. I joined West Advisory in 2003 as an intern. I take pride in the experience that I have acquired throughout the years that have made me a competent therapist. I have conducted Individual, Couples, Family sessions, and have treated a different range of diagnosis. I am also an experienced group facilitator and I am certified to conduct Domestic Violence groups for both Victims and Perpetrators, Counseling for Sexual Abuse Prevention (CSAP) and Sex Offender Groups. I have collaborated with DCFS social workers and Probation Department to promote the safety and wellbeing of the clients we serve. As a therapist, my approach is a balance of empathy while keeping clients accountable. My goals include promoting mental health and reducing recidivism.

My name is Monica Tiznado. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in California and Utah. I attended the University of California Irvine for my undergraduate program where I received a BA in Cognitive Science/Psychology and a minor in Education. I then went to Argosy University where I got my masters in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy. I also attended a specialist course at the University of California San Diego in perinatal and lactation education. I have worked in many settings including hospital and community clinics, in both LA and Orange County. My passion has always been working in different settings to be able to provide services to as many individuals as possible in order to close the disparity gap. Irene Salazar, M-RAS, CSC, AS, a Registered and Certified in the State of California with a Master’s Level Clinical, with a professional emphasis in Mental Health Alcohol and Drug Substance Abuse out-patient counseling, with a concentration in addition studies. My greatest reward as a counselor is helping clients learn ways to make a positive lifestyle change in the their lives so that they can look forward to the future, with valuable tools, techniques and skills that they can use on a daily basis for recovery. In addition, I have fifteen years of experience in providing educational groups in Domestic Violence, Anger Management, and parenting.
